The main character in my book is Bryan Bianchi. Bryan is a very smart kid in grade 12, but he doesn't attend school very often. He doesn't think very highly of himself and he doesn't really do anything to help himself with anything. He acts like everything he does doesn't matter and nobody cares about him so he shouldn't care about himself either. Bryan has many weakness's. He cuts his stomach to make him feel alive, and burns his arms with cigarettes. He has random bottles of vodka all over his room that he drinks on a regular basis, he smokes cigarettes and he does drugs. He doesn't interact with other people very often because he thinks that everybody hates him. His father treats him very bad because he blames him for his sister Michelles death.
Do you think that Bryan is just hurting himself because he is looking for attention or does he really have a problem and should go get help?

I think that it a combination of both. Bryan probably does have an emotional problem, because he feels like he is being blammed for his sisters death and he should get help. He is probably acting out and doing the things that he is doing, so that others will notice, take an interest in him and help him out through this difficult time he is going through.
ReplyDeleteI dont think Bryan is doing all that harmful stuff to himself just to get attention. I think he actually has a problem and he needs to go get help. The way that he sounds, is that he is very depressed and he doesn't want anyone to notice him, and he doesn't want to get involved with making friends. He obviously has potential and he should focus on getting help to get himself on the right track again.
ReplyDeleteI think brian has some very had problems.Hes using his own pain to take away from the pain of his horrible life.He is not normal in doing this,so it would be better if he got help.I dont think anyone who could do this,and throw there life away just want attention,that could be one of the things he is looking for,maybe from his father because he acts like he doesnt care about him,but thats probably not the only reason why he is like this.
ReplyDeleteI think Bryan actually does has problems and should go to counseling for it. For me the main problem for him is confidence. He lacks so much confidence, he needs to learn how to make friends and stop doing drugs and smoking. He needs to go back to school and don't look down on himself and know that people actually care about him. If you knew you are not to blame for your sisters death then you should not worry about your father trying you very bad because he blames you for it. I would just keep my head high.
